I have over 12 years of experience as a psychologist and mentor. I’m an endorsed Counselling Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor with AHPRA. I have contributed research in the area of interpersonal neurobiology where I evaluated the link between emotions, relationships and brain development in young people through drawing assessments.
I presented at the International Congress of Applied Psychology and have published work with the International Journal of Neuropsychotherapy. But that’s enough of my professional credentials, in case it’s not obvious, I am interested in all things to do with the brain and optimising the potential of our brain. I like the science of psychology. I have a special interest in working with individuals with performance orientated challenges such as motivation difficulties, perfectionism, and anxiety. But most importantly, I believe that anyone can benefit from psychological support and coaching. You don’t need to be ‘disordered’ to see a psychologist.
What you can expect when you work with me is that I consider the relationship between the mind, body and brain in my approach. I also strongly focus on the therapeutic relationship; you need to feel comfortable with your therapist in order to maximise your outcomes from the sessions.
I have a bit of first hand experience of what it is like to have to perform under pressure, from playing soccer throughout my childhood and adolescence, to preparing for university exams, to presenting in front of a large group, and currently keeping myself motivated to train for long distance running events. I believe that performing well under pressure is a skill that can be developed, and with the right psychological supports and coaching, an individual is capable of achieving their goals.
Another area of interest to me is diversity. Whether that is cultural, gender, sexual or neurodiversity. I believe we are all unique with our lived experience and that using a diversity lens to therapy is beneficial.
I am passionate about seeing others grow and enjoy providing training and supervision to provisional psychologists, supporting them on their journey to full registration as a psychologist. I can supervise 4+2 and 5+1 interns, masters placement students, and Counselling Psychologist registrars.

Hello, my name is Danielle. I am dedicated to creating safe and accessible environments that empower individuals to enhance their understanding of themselves and achieve a greater sense of wellbeing. I earned my Bachelor of Psychological Sciences in 2021 and subsequently completed my Master of Psychology (Counselling) in 2023. I have a strong interest in working with diverse communities, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, neurodiverse individuals, and members of the LGBTQI+ community. I employ a person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach in my practice. My primary objective is to collaborate with clients to foster self-awareness, acceptance, resilience, and to develop a personalised toolkit of skills.
I have experience in conducting psychological assessments to explore a variety of diagnoses, including ADHD, Autism, Learning Disorders, and more. I take an integrative approach drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. Additionally, I am a registered Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) practitioner.
As a practitioner, I recognise that everyone’s capacity to engage in therapy may vary from session to session. I aim to meet clients where they are in their journey and encourage them to take an active role in their therapy. If you feel the need to proceed at a slower pace or if a particular approach is not effective, I advocate for you needs. I find joy in employing creative therapies to ensure you gain the most from your therapeutic experience.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy collecting hobbies (mostly creative outlets like painting and embroidery) and have a passion for nature.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey.

I am a clinical psychotherapist and group facilitator with 20 years’ experience working with children, adolescents & adults…
I am a clinical psychotherapist and group facilitator with 20 years’ experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both therapeutic and educational settings. I enjoy supporting young people from a diverse range of backgrounds navigate their emotional, social, behavioural and learning needs and have extensive experience facilitating groups for adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, ASD, learning disorders) and delivering psycho-educational workshops to adults.
My areas of interest include grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, social skills support, emotional regulation, relationship breakdown, self-esteem, supporting carers and working with families of children with disabilities.
I am passionate about helping individuals overcome the challenges that keep them ‘stuck’ in a cycle of unhealthy thoughts and behaviours which rob them of their full potential. During our sessions, individuals develop greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and explore new ways of responding to their world.
I value a holistic approach to therapy which integrates all aspects of the person, highlighting the vital connection between mind and body. Together a warm, open and collaborative environment is created where individuals are free to express themselves and feel safe. Interventions are tailored to each client’s needs and draw on a range of therapy frameworks including Gestalt therapy, Solution Focused therapy, Internal Family Systems, Interactive Drawing Therapy and CBT.
If you would like to break free from unhealthy patterns, develop greater distress tolerance or consider new possibilities, please contact me.

My focus is on tackling depression and anxiety disorders, while also offering general counseling services. I’m here to provide personalized care using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. My style is all-encompassing, holistic, trauma-informed, and specifically tailored to you, taking into account your entire self rather than just addressing symptoms. I truly believe in the transformative power of each life story, and I’m here to guide you in crafting a new narrative with enhanced clarity and perspective.
In my practice, I specialize in treating depression and anxiety disorders, combining Metacognitive Therapy (MCT) with enriched elements of Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solutions-Focused practices.
My journey into social work began in community-focused roles in Disability Services, where I supported individuals with neurological injuries, disabilities, and disorders. This included acquired brain injuries, physical and neurological disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and ASD. My subsequent role with the Department of Youth Justice deepened my interest in helping vulnerable individuals with a history of offending and significant childhood trauma.
For the past four years, I’ve been the Senior Mental Health Clinician at a national headspace center in Brisbane. I’ve been helping clients dealing with trauma, BPD, dissociation, ASD, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, stress, and interpersonal difficulties. My practice is rooted in a strengths-based, person-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive approach.
